First, Doug, I apologize for missing the workshop. I was busy at work.

Second, I want to thank you for the thought you put in creating the community in the first place, and the work you are putting in making it both better for you (the most important) and sustainable for the long term. I have to say that the changes you are planning are very much in line with the way I have been…Read More

I’m sorry I haven’t been participating much in the last few weeks. I miss you guys!

Anyway, I have been working on my sketchnotes for the yearbook. I chose three sketchnotes that represent my three main uses for them: Recording, learning and teaching. So I chose a sample page from conference notes, a sample page from course notes and a lesson summary from the course I’m developing. I…Read More

I haven’t had much time to participate actively in the last few weeks, but I just want to say I am very impressed by your vids and the evolution of your vid style. You are making great strides and watching you develop and learn in public is a treat. Go you!

Great blog post. I like this format a lot. Where and when will you need our sketchnotes? I’ve already chosen my example notes and I’m slowly designing my presentation sketchnotes. What type of document and resolution will you need? Do you know yet?

The Spring conference season is finally over and I’m home for the next month. I am not off by any stretch of the imagination however. I have finished the sketchnotes for the course I am redeveloping. I am happy with all of them, except number 9 which I might redo. Look at them here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tournevis/albums/72157668273999861

I will start recording the sketchnote…Read More

For the yearbook, I like of a profile idea with probably the introductory sketchnote that presents why and how we use sketchnotes, with then the topical section with, for each topic/use, sample sketchnotes from several of us that show a variety of approaches. That way, it can be of use not only to us, but to new/other sketchnoters trying to find ideas.

There is so much cross-pollination between V2V and SBS for me, it’s quite inspiring.

My conference last week went well, and I am almost back to normal energy. I am still working on my online course. I now have to come up for the sketchnotes for units 2 to 12, though I am satisfied with what I came up for unit 2. I’ll be doing 3 today. I’ll be resuming filming in May. I’ve also registered to another kourse at Sketchbook Skool (Polishing) that is great fun and I’ve been…Read More

There is an official process to follow to make everything accessible. It’s provincial law and my uni is ptetty good over all about it. (It’s horrible for profs with disabilities, but I digress). All written texts must be machine readable. All vids must both have available subtitles and transcriptions/scripts that are machine readable. On top of that, students who register with the…Read More

tournevis replied to the topic April 15th, 2016 Workshop: A Sketchnoted Brain Dump in the forum Webinars 4 years, 9 months ago

As per the end of our discussion today, here is how brainstorms differ from brain dumps for me. Brainstorms for me happen when I have a point to make, for example, but I don’t know how to make it. Or, for another example, I have ideas and a hypothesis, but don’t know how to organize them. So I iterate, again, and again, and again, and I mess up, until I get it ok. Then I might even get it…Read More

    So, smashing website experiences again!

There is a challenge on Doodler’s Anonymous where you can win a free kourse at the Sketchbook Skool by drawing a cartoon. And I drew my workspaces. There you go!
