The funny thing is, my intention was to always put the illustrations in the boxes, but as I was doing it, I soon had to admit that I was putting the illustrations where they fell. There was no fully conscious decision. There were times when I had already put the text in the box when the image came to me. There were times when I realized I was drawing outside the box as I was doing it. The only thing the structure ensured was that the points were written horizontally from top down, but sometimes left-right, and sometimes right-left. It’s not even dependant on whether it’s left page or right page.
